To Toowomba Too!

Finally! Tomorrow's the big day. I'll be leaving for Toowoomba, Australia this Saturday but not before spending a night in Kuala Lumpur. Fortunately another Informatics student from my centre is coming with me. Glarrence is his name and hopefully we'll be good travelling partners.

Ahhh..its going to be my first time leaving the house for a long period of time. Don't count me wrong, I'm no wussie crying mama's boy or anything like that. Its just I'll miss that elaborately smelly bed(^_-), those comfortable cushions..oh well..the usual stuff. I also wish I could cram more stuff into my suitcase. Gahh..talk about travelling light..bah!!

It could be a while before I may post again. I'll post updates when I settle down. Wish me luck!

Not Again!

Yet another set of yumcha session pictures. This time its me and the Pirated Pirates gang munching on a hi-tea buffet in the Promenade Hotel. Quality are bad as it is taken from a mobile phone.

Pheona:"Meditative Pose.." Leonard: "Stare Food Stance!"

In depth discussion on how the lamb chop is better than the chicken.

Jon: "Yeah, me eat four rounds of food!" Kenny:"I want more ice cream!"

Note: There's actually a guy swimming in the pool you see in the picture when we are just starting to eat. The sight of his "agile" pose nearly cost us our appetite.

Touched

Yet another busy day. Had been finishing the last of things to buy today that includes a new digital camera(Casio Exilim with 512MB SD card ^_^), a cooler and a mouse for my laptop. However we went to a special place before going home. What's the place? Well it is the convent where the Carmelite Order of Sisters live.

For your information, in case you don't know, the Carmelite Order of Sisters are a branch of order belonging to the Roman Catholic church. These sisters are pretty much the same as normal sisters you would know. The exception is, they are relatively forbidden to venture out of the convent. This means they live a secluded life. The public is however allowed to ask prayer request from them.

You might ask why we made the trip. Well, its been kind of a tradition to make a trip there each time a family member is going to make a journey, in this case, me. Its my first time going there however.

We arrived to a small building complex on top of a small hill. My parents had visited here a few times in the past. We had to ring a bell before we are greeted to a sister's voice from behind a revolving panel(They are forbidden to have face to face contact except in special cases). I chatted to the sister on my request of prayer for my safe journey. Even though I couldn't see her face, I could feel her kindness. We bade farewell after giving her some cakes we bought for the whole convent(Probably 21 sisters lived there).

A good day indeed.

Fufu De Fufu

Less than a week away to Australia! This 2 weeks has been majorly-painfully-tiringly hectic. My parents and I rushed from one place to another to settle matters such as visa application, medical checkups for the visa(Thanks Dr Kheng, you're a live saver) and last minute shopping for things to bring over.

But then again, I managed to find time to have some hangout sessions with friends as some sort of mini-farewell for me. Here's some of the pictures taken during them.
